Movie Time

I can also take movies...

The picture quality is better if you leave the video small.

This is Ebby's Landing.

We stopped by this farm so Bryan could take pictures of Mt Baker in the background. I filmed the frolicking cows...

There's Mt. Baker.

And there's a cow.

Sunset

We went back to Deception Pass State Park so Bryan could get some shots of the sunset. Well, it got really cloudy so there were no spectacular colors to capture. But hanging around the beach waiting to see what would happen, I started to play around with my camera. Look what I can do!

My camera has a setting that allows you to added blue or red which can help taking pictures when the lighting is weird. And it means I can take blue and red pictures! Too much fun!

And black and white...

My camera is AWESOME! Thanks, Sweet Baboo!

Weekend Wonders

We had a wonderful time on our trip. Friday was one of only sunny days we've had in a while. Yeah!!! Deception Pass was beautiful. It was great to walk along the beach and be quiet. For lunch, we had the best Quizno's sandwiches ever. And dinner was a small Thai place. There was no one else in the restaurant, which made me a little nervous, but it was very good. Nice surprise. Saturday was a lazy drive down to the ferry. We stopped in Langley which was founded as an artist colony. We wandered around, had lunch and looked for whales. But there were no whales to be found.

Bryan was attacked by an eagle. These are a couple of the shots he was able to take.

There is a Navy base on Whidbey Island so there were planes flying around. Fun for both of us.

This is a close up of the bridge.

Cormorants floating along on a log. One is showing off hir beautiful wings.

More photos tomorrow...

Bear Report

So the cortisone shot - not some thing that Bryan wants to do ever again. I didn't get to go with him and he said I looked quite forlorn watching him go. I guess it wasn't much fun. But he seems to be doing a little bit better. Still not 100% but better. So that's good. He has more physical therapy this week and we need to make sure he's doing his home work.

Nothing else exciting going on. We are planning our next trip, just a long weekend but we are lookling forward to the time away.

Back Attack

Bryan is scheduled to receive his first (of maybe two) cortisone shots on Thursday morning. Hopefully, that will bring him a little relief from the pain. This week has not been so good. The full days back at work are making for a stiff and sore Bryan. We are keeping our fingers crossed the the cortisone shot(s) will allow him to start moving a little more easily and he can start to strengthen his back.

This weekend there was a little sun and we went down to Juanita Bay on Lake Washington. Bryan got to use his new lens for the first time.

The trees are starting to bloom. It seems a little later than last year but a welcome sign of spring. It has been very cloudy this fall.

There is quite a bit of wildlife that lives in the park. We've seen beavers and herons before but Sunday there were just ducks and turtles. Not just - they were very cute. The duck had very orange feet.

All in all a very pretty day

Keep Bryan in your thoughts this week. Love to all!

Happenings around the House

So, I'm off today taking care of my Bear. I brought him breakfast in bed, rubbed his feet and made him a sandwich. Now we are watching Star Wars. Kind of an awesome sick day - at least for me. Bryan's still in quite a lot of pain. He had his MRI yesterday and should be getting the results tomorrow morning. Hopefully that will help to figure out how to make him better. He could use some happy, healthy thoughts sent his way.

Not much has been going on. Our last outing was to the Pacific Science Center. It wasn't exactly what I was expected but we had a good time.

They have these awesome animatronic bugs.

These are from the butterfly house. Very pretty and fun to have all the butterflies flying about.

And of course dinosaurs!!

And Bryan holding a meteorite. It was very, very heavy!

They are having a Star Wars exhibit later this month and are showing Legends of Flight in 3-D on the big IMAX screen. So there will be at least one more trip.
